Recent "big" sightings!

Well, the last few weeks have definitely been good for spotting the "big stuff"! Firstly we were lucky enough to be in the water when a pod of rough toothed dophins cruised by close to Texas dive site. Then a dive at Herbies Fantasy led to a mantaa ray cruising past us only 20 feet away. Mantas are extemely rare in this region so it was something very special. Finally we did a 6am staff dive at West End Wall as a send-off to ou divemaster Collin, who left us to go to college last week. Within moments of hitting the water we were circled by a great hammerhead shark! Nice! It was about 14 feet long and maybe 30 feet away from us. Strangely everone on the dive saw it apart from Sam, our divemaster trainee, who must have been diving with his eyes closed to miss it!
